Introduction to International Relation and Cooperation

As we, human beings are the social animals. So, we live in the society. People living in the society help each other to fulfill their needs. In the same way, one country also needs help from other countries in order to fulfill their needs. Mutual relation and cooperation are very important for every country because if any dispute and problems arise it can be solved easily by making different agreements. The world is changing rapidly day by day. In this situation, it is almost impossible to develop the country by depending on itself. To gain the huge progress, every country needs help and cooperation from others.

It is almost impossible to produce all the requirements required by every country. Therefore, help and cooperation among the different countries are very essential. Only mutual understanding and support helps to bring development. Transportation and communication are developing so fast that no country can think of existing in isolation. Today's world is the world of technology and innovation. The means of communication and transportation massively has a huge progress in this 21st century. People are competing to make the more and more advanced technologies. These advanced technologies and the means of transportation and communication has made the world as a global village. Development of transport and communication helps to promote export and import in a quicker and cheaper manner. Developed countries and international organizations are providing financial aid, loans, technology, etc to develop the infrastructures like roads, bridges and to generate electricity to the developing countries. It has become possible because of the good relationship and cooperation with the neighbouring countries. Nepal is also in the path of development with the help of international aids provided by various countries of the world. For example, Japan is the bilateral donor country for Nepal, which has helped a lot in developing the infrastructures like roads, bridges, etc.

International relation and cooperation are growing stronger day by day. These co-operations are based on the principle of mutual benefit and understanding. There are many international and regional organizations established to develop good relationship such as the United Nations (U.N), European Union (EU), Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), etc. All these organizations are formed for friendship, cooperation, and mutual help.

Some countries of South Asia also have established a regional organization to develop the good relationship, cooperation and to solve their common problem together. This organization is called the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC). Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are the members of SAARC.
