Nepal Open University (NOU)
Nepal Open University (NOu) is a public university offering distance education in Nepal. It was established in 1995, located in Kumaripati - Mahalaximisthan Rd, Lalitpur. And has since become a leading provider of higher education to a diverse student population across Nepal.
The main mission of NOu is to make higher education affordable and of good quality available to all Nepalese nationals, irrespective of their age, geography, or financial status.

- Faculty of Social Science and Education : English Education , Economices, Mathematic Education, English, Education Studies, Sociology, Nepali Education, Anothoropology, Health Education, Political Sciences
- Faculty of Management and Law : MBA, MSDMG, BBS and LLB.
As its major objectives, NOU has committed itself to:
- give those who are denied or deprived of accessing conventional higher education institutions for various reasons through the conventional mode of learning opportunities for and access to academic, professional, and research-based inclusive higher education in terms of place, time, and pace of learning;
- produce citizens through the use of contemporary information technology in education through student-centered, problem-based, research-oriented teaching-learning opportunities in education and training that are equipped with knowledge, skills, and competencies in a variety of disciplines and subjects and ready to contribute to sustainable development with a spirit of coexistence;
