Council For Technical Education and Vocational Training

Established in 1989 (2045 BS), the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) is the national independent apex body of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, dedicated to producing the skilled and technically proficient human resources needed by the country.

It mostly entails creating policy, maintaining quality, creating competency-based curricula, creating skill standards for different professions and evaluating people's talents, conducting various research projects, determining training needs, etc.

It has an assembly consisting of 24 members and a governing board known as Council comprising nine members. Minister of Education chairs both the Assembly and the Council. The Council has a full time Vice-Chairperson and a Member-Secretary.
