1. Literal Comprehension:
It is a poem written by Rabindranath Tagore where we can find him praying for a heavenly country where no people fear about anything and are living with much respect, where they can walk with their heads up feeling proud. He wishes for such a country which is not divided by any borders and wants it to be united. Where everyone is truthful from their hearts and have got their perfection. Such a nation where everyone is introduced to education and none believe in superstition but rather try to find the truth. The writer wishes for such a perfect place to dwell.
2. Interpretation:
This poem is trying to convey a beautiful message about freedom and also unity. It talks about importance of knowledge and wisdom. It is the wish of every one to live in such a place where they are respected, have got freedom, and are not discriminated on any basis. This poem also shows us the reality of the place we human are living in. It shows that all these are lacking in the nation and hence the writer wishes for it .
3.Critical Thinking
The poem is patriotic and moral. However, i have still some questionable aspects:
- Do god exist?
- If god existed, is it possible for a god to change the world into such ideal one?
- Can this world really exist without war and violence?
4. Assimilation:
This poem by Tagore helps me learn about maintaining peace and slowly thriving for improving the existing society , maybe through a small change in myself.
