13. a) Draw the flowchart to find smallest number among three numbers.

b) What is cell referencing in spreadsheet? Explain different types of cell referencing used in spreadsheet.

 

14. a) Describe about object embedding and object linking with examples.

b) Why macro feature is used in MS word? Write down stepwise procedure for Mail Merge.

 

15. a) A MS-Excel sheet contains Designation and Monthly basic salary in two columns A and B respectively ( Row 1 contains heading row and actual data starts form row 2 and onward)

 

i. Write formula to find Total yearly salary in C column.

ii. Write formula to find taxable amount in D column. (Tax exemption=1,40,000)

iii. Using “IF” operator, write the syntax to calculate in E column ( conditions; If taxable amount of salary is>85000, Tax=25% else Tax=15%.

iv. Write formula to find Net monthly salary in F column.

            b) An Ms-Excel worksheet contains employee ID, name and basic salary in A, B and C   respectively

             i. Using If operator write the syntax to calculate tax in column D (assume tax is charged 15%, 10% and 0% for the employees whose basis salary 1 greater than or equal to Rs. 15000, Rs. 10000 and less than Rs. 10000 respectively.)

             ii. Write the formula to calculate net salary in column E.

       16. a)  Explain some advantages of database management system over traditional file  processing System.

             b) What is E-R diagram? Draw a simple E-R diagram for following entities. (Student, Course offering. Exam, College, Faculty) Assume your own attributes and relationship whenever necessary

Digital technologies have advanced more rapidly than any innovation in Our history reaching around 50 percent of the developing world's population in only two decades and transforming societies By enhancing connectivity, financial inclusion, access to trade and public services, technology can be a great equalizer. The digital revolution" is impacting everything, from economy. Innovation, science and education, to health, sustainability, governance, and lifestyles. Digital technologies will fundamentally change business models, institutions and society as whole. as new ecosystems emerge The impact of the e-revolution has resulted in terms like online, -commerce, cyber marketing, cyber cafe, -bus being a standard part of the current lexicon. Organization now finds them facing new challenges and opportunities for which old procedures seem out-of date. A whole spectrum of basic task such as communicating with business partners, ordering supplies and marketing products are being transformed through the potential technology. Ledger books, paper invoices, printed promotional materials and business trips are giving way to online billing and payment, complicated web site with product information and real-time teleconferencing across continent and time zone. Not surprisingly, there is much to be said about the technological, economic and social significance of the computer and mobile phone. Today, the smallest device has more computational power than the largest computers had a generation ago. Users are able to access the internet through their mobile phones to handle task from banking to ordering tickets to checking headlines and stock prices. E-commerce and online finance provide good examples of how organization can be located everywhere simultaneously. Although many online companies have a physical base from which they are managed or where their products are stored, a growing number of Internet ventures, such as online banking and business to business internet brokers conduct their operations exclusively in cyber space. While they are officially registered somewhere, for tax and regulatory purposes, almost all their interaction with customers and suppliers occur online. However, experts have found that in addition to making our lives more convenient, but there's a negative side to technology it can be addicting and it can hurt our communication skills. Extended screen time can result in health ramifications like insomnia, eyestrain, and increased anxiety and depression.
