U-TEC, also known as United Technical College, College of Engineering, was founded in 2008 (2065 BS) as the product of private sector effort. A group of visionary businesspeople and academics who understood the need for a college to provide technical education outside of the valley spearheaded the founding of U-TEC.
Since Pokhara University granted affiliation in March 2018 ( Falgun 2074 BS) fot the purpose of running graduate programs leading to M.Sc. degrees in Construction Management at the same facility, U-TEC has seized the opportunity to establish its center of excellence in higher technical education.
The Executive Chairman of U-TEC is in charge of overall planning, administration, and management as well as giving leadership in the development of new initiatives. The principle and academic director are in charge of all academic afairs and will be in charge of overall academic matters as well as planning and enhancing the academic quality. Department heads and programs coordinators created for various academic fields, however, manage unique programs.
VISION
The vision of U-TEC is to advance as a hub of higher education by enhancing intellectual capacity through initiatives in outreach, research, and scientific and technical education.
OBJECTIVES
- To produce engineering human resources in the field of engineering
- To conduct different types of research studies, conferences and seminars in the issues of national interest on engineering sectors
- To provide necessary technical and consultancy services as demanded by the Government of Nepal.
