ABOUT CAMPUS

The first school of the Institute of Science and Technology at Tribhuvan University in Nepal is called the School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS). Since its establishment, this school has offered a Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences (B.Math.Sc.) program with a major in Actuarial Science, recognizing the significance and worth of the field. Actuarial science is an interdisciplinary field that studies the systematic observation of natural events to determine the probability that similar events will occur in the future and to assist in creating strategies and policies that reduce risk and its financial impact. We can successfully identify, quantify, and manage risks thanks to actuarial science.

Mathematical Sciences

A collection of fields with mathematics as a foundational subject is known as the mathematical sciences. Although the mathematical sciences are often inconspicuous, they are present everywhere

Computers are utilized, data are accessible, chemistry or physics are applied, geometry is important, statistics are used, and designs or processes are optimized.
Almost all businesses, big and small, use mathematical sciences. One can pursue employment in various fields, including but not limited to Chemistry, Biology, Earth Sciences, Computing, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Physics, Electronics, Banking, and Meteorology, by pursuing a degree in Mathematical Sciences.

Qualifications

passed the Grade 12 or equivalent level test with a grade of 100 in business mathematics or mathematics from any stream (education, science, management, or humanities) and a minimum of a second division in each of the disciplines.
obtained at least a D grade and passed the A level in mathematics with 100 complete marks.
completed any CTEVT Diploma subjects with a minimum of a second division and a math score of 100.
The candidate must present an equivalent certificate from the Curriculum Development Center, Sanothimi, if they have passed from International Academic Institutions.
