ABOUT CAMPUS

The first Agriculture College under the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science is located on Rampur Campus, a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University. It was founded in Jagadamba Bhawan in Pulchowk, Lalitpur, in the year 1972. The goal of the Rampur Campus is to promote research, development, and the spread of agricultural technology while also developing skilled labour in agriculture and related fields.

When I.Sc. Ag, I.Sc., and 10+2 (Science) were the major programs at the Rampur Campus, the B.Sc. Ag (8-semester program) and B.V. Sc. and A.H. (10-semester program) followed. Admission to both programs was discontinued with the founding of the Agriculture and Forestry University, and the B.V.Sc. and A.H. programs were moved to the Paklihawa Campus in Paklihawa, Rupandehi (a Constituent Campus of T.U. under IAAS).

The objective of Rampur Campus

Promote excellence in agriculture education, research, and technology diffusion.
Develop agricultural graduates who are technically competent and ready to utilize their knowledge and abilities in technical agriculture, agricultural extension, agricultural education, agribusiness, and agricultural and rural development projects.
Encourage and assist academics and students engaged in research and intellectual activities that are important to Nepalese agriculture and farmers.
Encourage students' self-development, dedication, and responsibility for Nepalese society's well-being.

Promote excellence in instruction, research, and technology dissemination in agriculture. Develop technically competent agricultural graduates ready to apply the knowledge and skills in technical agriculture, agricultural extension, agricultural education, agribusiness, and agricultural and rural development programs.
