We are delighted to introduce " Nilgiri College" a pure food technology college (B.Tech), a four years program affiliated to Tribhuvan University established in 2069 B.S. Nilgiri College has been established by the team of young and enthusiastic food technology professionals and guided by renowned and experienced faculties with clean objective of providing a top class education at an affordable fee and with vision to bring global standard food technology college in Nepal. Food Technology is the branch of food science in which food science is applied in manufacturing, preservation, quality control and packing of food products and is linked to wide variety of sister science including Nutrition, Engineering, Biotechnology, Research and Development, Quality Control and Analysis. etc.

OUR OBJECTIVES

To emerge out as a center of excellence in the discipline of food science and technology.
To develop global competitive skill and expertise enriched human resource admissible to public, private, corporate and public- private partnership sectors.
Strengthening knowledge to maintain quality assurance in an increasingly sophisticated food processing industry.
To train students in food research through involvement of previous project, presentation and seminars.
To produce future specialists who can work in different organization, industries and research institutes.

B.Tech (Food)

Nilgiri College specially for B.Tech(food) , established in 2069 A.D. and affiliated to Tribhuvan University, is set up with the vision of bringing in the global standards of Food Science College to Nepal and produce scientific manpower of high caliber.NIlgiri College a pure food technology college established by the team of young and enthusiastic food technology professionals and guided by renowned and experienced faculties with the clean objective of providing top class education and practical exposure at an affordable fee.

It is located in the heart of the dynamic sub-metropolis, Itahari-5,. The college has well-equipped, well-furnished and spacious laboratories to facilitate the smooth conduct of practicals and research works. The library is full of books, magazines, journals and other reading materials. Besides, students can enjoy e-learning in the well-equipped computer laboratory with 24 hour internet facility which can be used by the students in the specified time. It has space enough for indoor games such as table tennis, volleyball etc.

Various modern methods of teaching through LED projector, regular talk program seminars, project work are common.
