In the mid-1990s, a visionary group of renowned entrepreneurs, esteemed medical professionals, dedicated educationalists, and socially recognized individuals banded together under the aegis of the parent company, Lord Buddha Educational Academy (LBEA), with a shared realization—the critical need for excellence in Nepal's medical sector to foster holistic national development. This insight was not limited to words; it manifested itself in the form of proactive action in 1996 when Nepalgunj Medical College was established. NGMC was founded on the collaborative resolve and unshakable devotion of these visionaries, marking a watershed event in Nepal's medical education scene.

NGMC's mission is to produce competent and compassionate healthcare professionals who can contribute to the betterment of society. We have garnered recognition from esteemed institutions such as the Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST), the Medical Education Commission (MEC), the Nepal Medical Council (NMC), and Kathmandu University (KU). Graduates of NGMC have demonstrated excellence in diverse arenas, achieving recognition both within the nation and on the global stage.
