Research, Project Work and Grants

In the past four academic sessions (2019 to 2022) 88 research grants and financial assistance have been provided to students undertaking independent research activities based on outstanding research proposals.

Global Internship & Opportunities

Students of National College have been provided with internship opportunities with organizations in Bangladesh, India, Thailand, and the Philippines.

International Students at National College 

National College has been opted by several foreign students from all over the globe. From Germany, Switzerland, and Finland to Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Australia we have had 22 students (5 – Under the semester abroad program) who have studied or are studying with us. This along with regular visiting faculties and guests from China, Canada, Bangladesh, Japan, India, and other countries help make NC a place for cross-cultural knowledge exchange resulting in an apt learning environment.

Message from The Dean

National College has established itself as a premier institute for social science studies. The college is focused on producing social scientists to analyse and critique what is going on in today’s world. Here students are respected as individuals with the potential to grow. They are provided with the opportunity to explore their strength through seminar, internships and project works under the able supervision of competent faculties. Nurturing students to research is also prioritized for a better understanding of the socio-economic issues and challenges confronting our societies in the age of scientific and technological advancements. Thus, National College offers students the opportunity to lay a sound foundation for their higher education and career.

Message From the Chairman

Warm greetings to you, students and parents!

We are so glad to have this prospectus in your hands. You may have already noticed that, under the umbrella of Kathmandu University, National College has experimented with several innovative academic programs since its establishment in 1996. In developing these programs we have given utmost care to make our students intellectually competent, morally strong, socially committed and spiritually inspired. As a result, nearly 1200 of our graduates have demonstrated their leadership qualities in various organizations within Nepal and different corners of the world. We are very eager to welcome you to National College. We assure you that we will leave no stone unturned in nurturing you to enable you to face the ever-changing world more effectively.
