ABOUT CAMPUS

KIST Medical College Pvt. Ltd, situated in Mahalaxmi Municipality-1, Imadol, Lalitpur, is associated with the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University. It was founded in BS 2062 (2006 AD). The Board of Directors and its Executive Committee are in charge of the College. It features a separate dental hospital as well as a 300-bed full-fledged teaching hospital.

In order to educate medical professionals of international standards, KIST Medical College & Teaching Hospital actively promotes and upholds the greatest moral principles.

Vision:

We have a vision of developing KIST Medical College as a center of excellence in holistic medical education, healthcare, and research in Nepal by training competent, humane and compassionate healthcare practitioners. We vision to operate as a self-contained Centre of Excellence dedicated to providing high-quality and specialized health-care services throughout the country. We also vision to conduct research on important local health issues for the holistic development of community services and medical education.

Mission:

To promote and practice the greatest principles and ethics in medical education while training global-standard medical professionals by utilizing the modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment for exceptional and specialized health care in the region. To offer students and faculties of health professions education the KIST Teaching Hospital, as one of their favored learning sites.

The College is running four undergraduate academic programs:

MBBS started in BS 2065,
BDS started in BS 2068,
BScMLT started in 2078,
BPharma started in BS 2078.

By the beginning of BS 2080 the College has dedicated 650 medical graduates and 151 dental graduates to the nation.

Postgraduate program was started in BS 2077. MD/MS courses are available in all clinical and basic clinical disciplines and MDS in Prosthodontics and Orthodontics. DM/MCh programs are run from BS 2080.
