Public management education has increased immensely with the growing realization of making the public sector capable of discharging quality services. Given this realization, people having rich experiences in Nepalese public sector management and sound academic backgrounds, dedicated to contributing and sharing the experiences of the field have come together to support and fulfil the felt need for quality public management education in Nepal. Centrally located at Subidhanagar, Kasthamandap School of Public Affairs Management aims at catering to the needs of those who are keenly interested in pursuing their career in the public sector, public enterprises, research institutions and voluntary sector. The graduate school has come forward with the mission of providing quality education in public sector management keeping at par with the international standards. In this regard, the MPA program of the school represents a vital input.

Objectives

To provide students with conceptual tools to understand and appreciate behavioural aspects of public affairs management.
To enhance the capability of the students to undertake research in the field of public affairs management.
To provide the students with focused knowledge and analytical skills in their respective areas of specialization.

Programs

Master of Public Administration (MPA)

This program is to produce human resources for a professional career that serves the needs, particularly, of the public sector organizations. This program covers an intensive two-year course that aims at imparting knowledge on interdisciplinary areas of contemporary public affairs management. Especially, the program is designed to enhance the capacity of those seeking jobs in public, semi-governmental, non-governmental, teaching and research institutions.
