The University Campus's Central Department of Sanskrit is situated in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal. The origin of all literature is found in Sanskrit literature. The Central Department of Sanskrit Studies was established in order to provide students with up-to-date courses, original knowledge of the world, and the skills necessary to compete in the twenty-first century.
The department hosts talks and other events related to Sanskrit. Every year, it also publishes Sanskrita-Surabhi, a departmental magazine.
