Introduction

The MSc Watershed Management program at Tribhuvan University's Institute of Forestry is designed to produce advanced human resources capable of leading integrated watershed management initiatives, such as soil and water conservation, land productivity improvement, and sustainable use and development of natural resources.

Objective 

  • To develop a practically skilled technical workforce for assessing, planning, and implementing various ways to watershed management intervention for climate change adaptation, land productivity, and long-term water supply.
  • To teach knowledge and skills for resolving soil and water-induced watershed degradation issues and making landscape ecosystems more robust to climate change and potential calamities.
  • To generate skilled workers capable of designing, planning, monitoring, and assessing soil and water conservation methods, as well as undertaking scientific research to address the issues.
