ABOUT CAMPUS

One of Tribhuvan University's institutes is the Institute of Engineering. Ten private colleges and four constituent campuses make up the Institute of Engineering. The main campus of the Institute of Engineering is located at Pulchowk. Located at Pulchowk in the center of Lalitpur city, it was founded in 1972 (2029 B.S.) as one of the Institute of Engineering's constituent campuses.

It was first established to produce trade-level labor to meet the needs of the country's engineering sector. Since 1973 (2030 BS), the Pulchowk campus has offered diploma level (intermediate level, three years), courses in a variety of engineering specialties. However, diploma level courses are currently being phased out. Since 1984 (2041 BS), the Pulchowk campus has been providing bachelor's degree courses in a variety of engineering specialties.

This campus has excellent faculty and personnel, as well as well-equipped laboratories. The center of excellence for engineering education in Nepal is now comprised of distinct structures used for administrative and academic functions.

The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology of the Nepalese government has given Pulchowk Campus the "Best Constituent Campus Award" for the years 2019 and 2023.
