About
The Institute of Forestry, Pokhara Campus (IOF-PC), Quality Assurance Accreditation (QAA) certified institution by the UGC, Nepal in September 2022, was established in 1981 as the Central Campus of the Institute of Forestry, one of the five technical institutes under Tribhuvan University, Nepal. The IOF, founded as Nepal Forestry Institute in Singh Durbar, Kathmandu, in 1947, was shifted to Suping (BhimPhedi) in 1957 and again to Hetauda in 1965.
Mission
The IOF-PC is committed to providing quality education in Forestry and Natural Resource Management to graduate and undergraduate students, enabling them to make a difference through technically sound and competent and socially amiable and yielding services to the nation and the world in this area. The IOF-PC endeavors to develop itself as a Center of Excellence in forestry education.
Objective
To produce competent, efficient and practically oriented forest and natural resource professionals through well-structured educational programs run in an academic environment conducive to effective teaching, learning and research in order to address practical problems and current needs and interest of the nation and the world in forestry and allied fields.
