Reputable academic institution Nepal Engineering College (nec) was founded in 1994 with the goal of giving Nepalese students access to high-quality technical education. It was established by a group of forward-thinking academics and professionals who saw the need for an institution that could use engineering and technology education to support the nation's economic progress. Nec is a social institute that is registered with the District Administration Office in Bhaktapur and is not for profit.

The founding of nec acted as a spur for the growth of other private engineering colleges in Nepal. The college is devoted to upholding its standing as a leader in academic freedom and high-quality education, serving as a role model for others.

Nec has concentrated on creating, updating, and standardizing its academic curricula over the years.
