Balkumari College was founded in the Chitwan district on September 18, 1986 (2043). As a college affiliated with Tribhuvan University, Balkumari College has received two awards from the University Grants Commission Nepal: in 2009 (2066) and in 2019 (2075)—the Quality Assurance & Accreditation (QAA) certification. In July 2008, Balkumari College received recognition as an ISO 9001 accredited institution for its quality management system (QMS).
Balkumari College teaches standard university curriculum in addition to a variety of creative programs. These programs are thoughtfully created to give students a distinct advantage in their placement or continued study. The college has excelled in all academic areas and in co-curricular, extracurricular, and extracurricular pursuits. Tribhuvan University's BICTE, BHM, B.Sc., B.Ed., BBS, MEd, and MBS programs are available on campus.
