How to select the right college after SEE?

Congratulations to all the SEE graduates out there! It's a huge deal, and you should be proud of yourself. Now that you're about to dive into a whole new adventure with tons of schools and programs out there. I know it can be too much to handle trying to pick the right place. It's important to think about a bunch of different things before making up your mind. If you're looking into what offers the Higher Secondary Education Board have got, you've got a bunch of options.

There are five main areas you can dive into after SEE:

  • Science,
  • Management (or Commerce),
  • Humanities,
  • Law,
  • A-levels.

Within each of these, there's a whole bunch of different subjects you can pick from. And the cool thing is, there are loads of colleges all over the country that teach these courses following the NEB's rules.

Now's the perfect time to start scoping out colleges. Think about what gets you excited, what do you want to dive into and learn more about? Keep in mind the reputation of the college, the different programs they've got, and where it's located. You want to be somewhere that feels good, right?

Also, don't forget to consider the vibe of college. Whether you see yourself hanging out there or not. And, look into what it'll cost you, not just for classes but for living there too. Keep an eye out for scholarships that can give your wallet a break, and make sure they've got resources to help you kickstart your career when you graduate.

Some specific colleges that offer courses following the NEB's rules

If you can, definitely try to visit the colleges on your list. There's nothing like walking around the college to get a sense of the place. While you're at it, check out what you need to get in and what kind of fun stuff there is to do outside of class.

At the end, make a simple list of the good and bad points for each one. Think about what's important to you and put those things at the top. And hey, don't forget to chat with a counsellor, maybe a teacher you like, or your family to help you figure it all out. Taking a good look at all this stuff will help you pick a place for your college life and plans.
