NOU's Master's Degree is aimed to provide graduates with specific knowledge in their respective subjects as well as the ability to display unique thinking. The training prepares them to assess and evaluate with critical insight in their fields of specialization. They can also develop valid arguments and approaches for problem-solving. They can successfully and logically explain their conclusions to both specialized and general audiences. The course also prepares students to function in uncertain situations and behave with minimal supervision or direction. The training aims to instill a thorough understanding of the chosen discipline.

A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution accredited by Nepal Open University (NOU).
Students with backgrounds other than education, such as BA, BSc, BBS, BBA, LLB, or equivalent, must complete a three-credit extra education course.
