Bachelor of Automobile Engineering in Nepal

In Nepal, the Bachelor of Automobile Engineering is a freshly launched four-year undergraduate curriculum that focuses on automobile design, production, and operation. Nepal has several institutions and universities that provide a B.E. program in automobile engineering. This course is only offered at two Tribhuvan University (TU) component institutions (the Thapathali and Paschimanchal campuses). Similarly, Kathmandu University's (KU) School of Engineering provides the same course as part of its Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering program.

The objective of the Bachelor of Automobile Engineering 

  • To give a solid foundation in basic engineering principles applicable to the automobile sector.
  • To gain technical expertise in automotive design, manufacture, and maintenance procedures.
  • Encourage innovative and creative design and development of new automotive technology and systems.
  • To improve students' problem-solving and analytical skills for dealing with complicated engineering difficulties.
  • To prepare students for quick work in the automobile sector by providing hands-on experience.
  • To impart ethical responsibility and raise knowledge of environmental challenges.
  • To cultivate a research-oriented mindset for improvements in automotive technology.

Eligibility

In the case of a letter grading system, pupils must have received a minimum "C" grade in all subjects in grades 11 and 12.

Admission Criteria

Students must meet the prerequisites to study Automobile Engineering in Nepal at either KU or TU. Admission requirements for the Bachelor of Automobile Engineering program in Nepal are as follows:

  • Applicants must have completed intermediate level/+2, with at least a "C" grade in Science with math, physics, and chemistry as full-time papers in 11 and 12.
  • Those with a diploma in engineering or similar degrees that include considerable math, physics, and chemistry disciplines may also apply for vehicle engineering in Nepal.
  • The Institute of Engineering (IOE) conducts an engineering admission examination for students.
