MD in Pathology – Tribhuvan University (TU), Nepal
Program Overview:
The MD in Pathology is a postgraduate medical degree aimed at producing competent and skilled pathologists. The program focuses on training specialists in histopathology, cytopathology, and hematopathology, equipping them to analyze and correlate disease pathology with clinical presentations and diagnostic results.
Program Objectives:
To produce capable pathologists skilled in histopathology, cytopathology, and hematopathology.
To train graduates to run and manage independent clinical diagnostic laboratories.
To prepare professionals capable of teaching MBBS students in the subject of pathology.
To develop specialists with the potential to engage in medical research.
Eligibility Criteria:
Academic Qualification: MBBS or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
Registration:
Must be registered with the Nepal Medical Council.
Foreign applicants must be registered with their own national medical council.
Experience:
At least one year of work experience (not required for MDGP and MD/MS in Basic Medical Sciences).
Entrance Exam:
Must pass the MECEE-PG entrance exam conducted by the Medical Education Commission (MEC) with a minimum of 50% marks.

Duration: 3 hours (with one voluntary toilet break after 1 hour)
