Master of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering is designed to prepare graduates who are passionate and skilled in addressing challenges related to renewable energy applications, system design, and technology development in an economically sustainable way. Graduates of this program will become leaders in planning, designing, developing, implementing, and managing renewable energy technologies to promote a sustainable energy future.

The Institute of Engineering (IOE), Pulchowk Campus, admits 20 students annually into the M.Sc. in Renewable Energy Engineering. This program equips graduates and engineering professionals with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to develop sustainable solutions for climate change and energy security in the rapidly expanding field of renewable energy technology.

Eligibility
Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering (B.Arch/BE) in any discipline. They should have undergraduate grades well above average and meet the minimum requirements set by the IOE faculty board. Additionally, candidates must pass the entrance examination conducted by the IOE Entrance Board (or by a special entrance committee for foreign students).
Note: Equivalence refers to degrees obtained from institutions other than Tribhuvan University, which are recognized by TU as equivalent in the same discipline.

Admission Procedure
Candidates wishing to take the entrance exam must complete and submit the online application form by the deadline specified by the Entrance Exam Board. The admission steps include:

  1. Paying the entrance exam application fee by submitting a voucher with the candidate’s name and date of birth, specifying the voucher number in the online form.

  2. Selecting the correct entrance stream.

  3. Completing all required fields in the application form without omission.
