M.Sc. Mathematics (Semester System) runs for two academic years, i.e., four semesters. The total aggregate of credit hours for the four semesters is at least 100. 

Objectives of MSc in Mathematics

Admission Requirements in MSc in Mathematics

Evaluation Method

For each 100 marks subject the department conducts external and internal assessment equal to 80 and 20 marks respectively. To pass the subject, the students must acquire minimum marks of 32(out of 80) in external board assessment and an 8(out of 20) in the external assessment. The internal mark is determined by your professor on the basis of completed assignments, tests, attendance, class performance and participation.

For the external exam, you have to appear exams and solve the given question set. The total number of questions in a set is 10 and you can choose to solve 4 of them from “or” part. But the examinee must attempt to solve all the questions including the subjective ones which include implying theorems, proving statements from a conceptualized viewpoint.
