Exam Type
The Master of Science in Agriculture at the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Tribhuvan University, is a postgraduate program designed to provide advanced knowledge and skills in various agricultural sciences.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for admission to the Master of Science in Agriculture program, a candidate must have completed a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or Bachelor of Science in Horticulture with at least a second division.
Entrance Examination:
Admission is based on an entrance exam carrying 100 marks. Candidates must score a minimum of 50 marks to qualify. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions covering various relevant topics and lasts for 90 minutes.

In case of a tie in scores, the merit will be decided based on the percentage or cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of the bachelor's degree. If there is still a tie, marks or grades in Biology, Chemistry, English, Mathematics, and Physics will be considered in that order.

Candidates can choose one specialization from the following subjects. A total of 68 seats are distributed among these specializations as shown below:

Citizenship certificate or passport
Complete academic certificates and transcripts (from School Leaving Certificate (SLC) level to the highest degree completed)
Migration certificate (if the bachelor’s degree was completed from a university other than Tribhuvan University)
Equivalence certificate (if the bachelor’s degree was completed from an institution other than Tribhuvan University)
Grade conversion certificate (if marks are given in grade format)
Three recent passport-sized photographs
Official leave or release letter and recommendation letter (for government employees, employees of international or non-governmental organizations, and foreign nationals)
Sponsorship letters (if the applicant is financially supported by a sponsoring agency)
Receipt of application and entrance examination fee payment (issued by the account section of the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science.
