The Lainchour-based Silver Mountain School of Hotel Management (SMSH) was founded in 2002 with the goal of offering top-notch instruction in hotel and tourist management. In partnership with Queen Margaret University in the UK, we offer a four-year bachelor's degree in international hospitality and tourism management. Along with the chance to complete an internship at some of the greatest hotels in the country and around the world, we also offer a professional diploma in international culinary arts that leads to a two-year hospitality degree.

We offer a unique approach to education, excellent research results, and a stellar reputation for interacting with business leaders. We provide dynamic study and research programs that educate graduates for the businesses of today and future, together with a vibrant campus life that is culturally diverse.

The Royal Palace Museum and Thamel are both less than a kilometer away from SMSH, which is situated in the center of Kathmandu (near Lainchour). With state-of-the-art classrooms, a restaurant, a coffee academy, an oenology (wine academy), a bar, a kitchen, a reception area, a seminar room, a meeting room, a mock-up housekeeping room, locker rooms, a library, etc., it is the first teaching hotel school in Nepal.
