Situated in Gwarko, Lalitpur-17, the Himalayan Institute of Science and Technology (HIST) is associated with Purbanchal University. The college is located next to Asian Engineering College and is easily accessible from the Gwarko junction road.

HIST Engineering College is one of the most reputable and well-established colleges in Nepal, having been founded in 2002 (2059 BS). In order to apply to bachelor's and master's degree programs, prospective students have been drawn to the HIST. It provides morning academic programs for bachelor's degree (6:30 am–12:30 pm) and evening programs for master's degree (5:30 pm–8:30 pm).

Mission and Vision

The HIST Engineering College's 2012 vision document reorganized and simplified the college's goals, mission, and vision.
