Tribhuvan University
2 years
The two-year, four-semester Master of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology (M.Sc.CSIT) program is offered at Tribhuvan University's Central Department of Computer Science and Information Technology.
With the caveat that most incoming students come from Tribhuvan University's three-year B. Sc. program in computer science, the M. Sc. program in computer science and information technology is structured closely after the courses offered in authorized international universities. To fulfill the needs of high technology application, the program offers service courses in addition to the usual core and elective computer science courses. The graduate program requirements are satisfied by the foundation and core courses, while the rapidly evolving field of computer technology and applications is addressed by the service courses.
Qualifications
Admission to the program requires a B.Sc. in computer science, a BE in computer science, electronics, a BTech, or coursework equivalent to a bachelor's degree in computer science from Tribhuvan University.
Students with four years of engineering degrees or master's degrees in science (physics, statistics, and mathematics) may also apply for admission, provided they have finished the prerequisite courses required to enrol in the M.Sc. CSIT program's first year. The entrance exam is used to determine who gets in.
Master of Information Technology (MIT)
With the caveat that the majority of incoming students have a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, computer application, information management, or information systems, the Masters in Information Technology (MIT) curriculum is created by closely mimicking the courses taught in recognized international universities. The Masters in Information Technology (MIT) program equips students with the knowledge, comprehension, and research abilities needed to apply cutting-edge technology to solve practical issues.
Qualifications
Before enrolling in the MIT program, a student must have earned a Bachelor in Information Technology from TU or an equivalent school. Students holding bachelor's degrees in computer science, computer science and information technology, information technology, computer engineering, information management, information systems, and computer application, or their equivalents, are also eligible to apply to the program.
