Alcoholism

Alcoholism is the people having the habit of drinking alcohol frequently. Alcohol is made up of organic substance and are can be made in home or factory. Drinking alcohol is in practice since ancient time in any ceremony and cultural occasion in the society. In some community of Nepal alcohol is made in a home for personal propose and also for the god as a religious offering.

Although it is common in society, continuous use of alcohol have may negative impact on human body. It effects slowing in the body parts like liver, stomach, intestine, brain and digestive system. If we get the habit of drinking alcohol then it will be difficult for us to avoid such habits.

We feel like we have much power after drinking alcohol but in real it decreases the energy of the body. It gives the psychological problem to the person and decreases the memory capacity of a person. People won't get balance, they can't see clearly, they can't judge anything properly and so on. Due to which its creates various problem in the family as well as in the society like quarreling, fighting, sleeping on the road etc. There are various cause and prevention of alcoholism, some of them are as follow:

Causes of Alcoholism are as follows:

  • Pressure from alcoholic friends
  • Influenceof advertisement.
  • Carelessness of parents towards their children
  • Curiousness of adolescents for its taste.
  • A bad concept of reducing tension.
  • Call from friendsand relatives
  • Due to social norms and values
  • Invitation to ceremony and parties.

Prevention and Control measures of alcohol are:

  • Creating awareness programme to avoidalcohol
  • Always say no to alcohol and drugs
  • Advertisement of alcohol should be banned
  • Avoid alcoholism friends
  • Healthy drinks should be preferred rather than alcohol.
  • Productionof alcohol should be limited and should control by a government.
